Red Cross First Aid Instructor
- Course focuses on how to teach and facilitate - not on learning first aid and CPR.
- Includes teaching, facilitation, learning and assessment theory; individual and group assignments; several practice teaching exercises; and principles of injury prevention, inclusion and progressive learning.
- Red Cross Fundamental Principles and first and and CPR training philosophies are also reinforced.
- 32 hour course - held over two weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Certification
Valid for 3 years upon successful completion of course
Admission Requirements
- Expected to have finely tuned first aid and CPR technical skills
- Must hold a current Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR HCP level certificate
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Successfully completed a pre-course knowledge and skills test
- Complete registration form prior to course commencement
- Provide a parent or guardian signature if under 19
Cost
- Cost is $895.00 - Price includes textbooks.
There is no tax applicable on this course.
