Course Description
- This is a two day course held in the outdoors - but requires a minimum 2 day SFA in class as pre-requisite.
- Wilderness first aid is designed for students to learn how to adapt basic first aid skills to an outdoor setting.
- Students must have transportation to the outdoor location (usually Chief Lake road area). Students aware that the program is generally held during the daytime but course can be adapted for overnight sessions. Outhouses are provided for this outdoor training area.
- Students should come prepared for the weather - raincoats, waterproof footwear ect...
Certification
- Valid for 3 years upon successful completion of course
Admission Requirements
- Hold a current (within the last six months) Red Cross Standard First Aid course. Or equivalent course.
- Be in good health and physical condition - able to hike on level terrain (few km).
- Complete registration form prior to course commencement
- Provide a parent or guardian signature if under 19
Cost
- Cost is $300.00
- There is no tax applicable on this course.

- 2 day course held in an outdoor environment, with the minimum 2 day pre-requisite completed prior.
