Transport Endorsement for First Aid Training at Lifesavers First Aid Training

Course Description

A one day course designed for the Level 1 or Level 2 ticket holder.
Topics Taught Include: Introduction to Occupational First Aid, Basic Anatomy, Initial Evaluation of the Trauma Patient, First Aid Room Techniques and Procedures, The Priority Action Approach to the Walk-In Patient, Anatomy and Function of the Respiratory System, Airway and Breathing Management, Oxygen Therapy and Equipment, Anatomy and Function of the Circulatory System, Shock, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Back Injuries, Eye Injuries, Activity-Related Soft-Tissue Disorders (ASTDs), Burns, Heat Stress , Hypothermia, Bites and Stings, Poisons, Critical Incident Stress, Medical Conditions, Transportation
Successful candidates will receive the Worksafe BC Transportation Endorsement certificate.

Certification

Valid for 3 years upon successful completion of course

Admission Requirements

Be a minimum of 16 years of age to be certified.
Be in good health and physical condition.
Provide photographic identification to the Instructor prior to issuance of a certificate.
Complete the agency registration form prior to course commencement. The form must be completed entirely.
Must hold a valid OFA Level 1, Level 2, or equivalent certificate to be certified for the Transportation Endorsement.
Provide a parent or guardian signature if under age 19.

Cost

$95.00 - Price includes textbooks, and all supplies .
There is no tax applicable on this course.
