Basic First Aid - Level 1

Course Description

• The Basic First Aid course (previously called Level 1) is an 8 hour program designed to teach participants how to respond to the most common workplace first aid emergencies.
• The focus of the program scenarios are to assess and care for an adult injured worker. Includes adult basic life support skills including single rescuer CPR/AED.

Admission Requirements

• No prior knowledge required to attend this course.
• Provide a parent/guardian signature if under 16 years of age. *No minimum age requirement, but strongly recommend a minimum age of 16 years.
• Employers must ensure that a “Designated First Aid Attendant” is at least 16 years of age.
• Be physically capable of performing the necessary skills to demonstrate competency (Example: 2 minutes of good quality CPR).
• Fees paid in full or approved for invoicing in writing.

Certification Requirements

• The candidate must provide photographic identification to the Instructor prior to issuance of a certificate.
• The candidate must participate in the entire program and successfully complete course objectives.
