BLS with Airway Management & Oxygen Therapy

Course Description

• This program is designed for Health Care Professionals, both in-facility and pre-hospital environments.
• Students will practice clearing airways, plus critical interventions for both respiratory and cardiac arrest.
• Course content includes advanced airway management techniques including oral and nasal airways, portable suction use, bag valve mask use, oxygen therapy, and pulse oximetry.
• Skills will focus on two rescuer high performance resuscitation for all ages:  adult, child, infants and neonates.​

Admission Requirements

• No prior knowledge required to attend this course, however it is recommended that candidates taking the BLS course for the first time complete a CPR-C course prior to their BLS course. This is not a requirement.
• Provide a parent/guardian signature if under 16 years of age. *No minimum age requirement, but strongly recommend a minimum age of 16 years.
• Be physically capable of performing the necessary skills to demonstrate competency.
• Fees paid in full or approved for invoicing in writing.

Certification Requirements

• The candidate must participate in the entire program and successfully complete course objectives.
• Candidates must provide an email address on their registration forms as the Canadian Red Cross issues certificates to the email address the candidate has provided us.
• Temporary certificates will be issued to successful candidates at the end of the program so they can have proof of completion while waiting for the email from the Canadian Red Cross.
