Basic First Aid CPR-C

Course Description (*previously called Emergency First Aid)

• The Basic First Aid CPR-C course is a one day course.
• Students will learn how to manage the most common emergencies both at home and at work.
• Includes adult, child and infant basic life support skills including single rescuer CPR/AED skills for each age group. (CPR C level certification).

Admission Requirements

• No prior knowledge required to attend this course.
• Provide a parent/guardian signature if under 16 years of age. *No minimum age requirement, but strongly recommend a minimum age of 16 years.
• Employers must ensure that a “Designated First Aid Attendant” is at least 16 years of age.
• Be physically capable of performing the necessary skills to demonstrate competency (Example: 2 minutes of good quality CPR).
• Fees paid in full or approved for invoicing in writing.

Certification Requirements

• The candidate must provide photographic identification.
• The candidate must participate in the entire program and successfully complete course objectives.
• Candidates must provide an email address on their registration forms as the Canadian Red Cross issues certificates to the email address the candidate has provided us.
• Temporary certificates will be issued to successful candidates at the end of the program so they can have proof of completion while waiting for the email from the Canadian Red Cross
