UTV Rider Course
Safety CourseCourse Description
- The UTV – Utility Terrain Vehicle Driver (Side by Side) Course is a one day program that provides hands on training with emphasis on the safety implications relating to each lesson. Students will learn basic techniques for driving a UTV responsibly. Risk management and accident prevention are discussed as well as a pre-drive vehicle inspection.
- The lessons include starting and stopping, quick turns, hill driving, emergency stopping and swerving, and driving over obstacles. The skills are repeated with cardo weight added to the vehicle. Safe winching procedures are also practiced.
- Small class sizes of a maximum 8 students allows for excellent student evaluation and safe learning environment.
- Lunch is not provided: Our training location is 40 minutes from downtown Prince George, therefore students should bring their own food and refreshments. An outhouse is available onsite.
- Training can be provided at other locations, however additional fees will apply.
- Time permitting, we offer our students a fun trail ride on completion of the session.
